Terms & Conditions
In force from 1 October 2026.
1. General provisions
The online shop at sharkotea.com is operated by Katarzyna Osmólska, ul. Jasnodworska 3B/223, 01-745 Warsaw, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 5222705620.
Contact: kasia@sharkotea.com, the contact form, or Instagram @sharkotea.
These Terms govern the sale of digital content — crochet patterns in PDF format.
2. What you are buying
The shop sells digital products only: PDF patterns containing written instructions, charts and photographs. No physical goods are shipped, so there are no delivery costs.
Some patterns are made to measure, meaning they do not prescribe fixed sizes but give rules that let you fit the design to your own measurements. Each product page describes what a given pattern contains.
3. Technical requirements
You need a device with internet access, a current web browser, a working e-mail address and software able to open PDF files. No paid software is required.
4. Orders and payment
Add a pattern to the cart, complete the order form and pay. Accepting these Terms is required to place an order. An account is not required, but you may create one to keep access to your order history and purchased patterns.
All prices are shown in Polish złoty (PLN) and are final prices.
You can pay for your order in the following ways:
Electronic payments and bank transfers (pay-by-link), payment cards, BLIK, deferred payments and instalments through PayU, operated by PayU S.A., with its registered office in Poznań, Poland (ul. Grunwaldzka 186, 60-166 Poznań), entered in the register of entrepreneurs kept by the District Court Poznań – Nowe Miasto i Wilda in Poznań, 8th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number 0000274399, tax number (NIP) 7792308495, REGON 300523444.
Where PayU is chosen, processing of the order begins once the transaction completes successfully and the Seller receives confirmation of a positive payment authorisation from PayU.
Using PayU means accepting the PayU single payment transaction terms available on the operator’s website.
Card payments and payments from a PayPal balance through PayPal, operated by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., with its registered office in Luxembourg (22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg), entered in the Luxembourg trade register under number R.C.S. Luxembourg B 118 349, acting as a credit institution supervised by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.
Where PayPal is chosen, processing of the order begins once the Seller receives confirmation of a positive payment authorisation from PayPal.
Using PayPal means accepting the PayPal User Agreement available on the operator’s website.
The contract is concluded when you receive the order confirmation at the e-mail address you provided.
5. Delivery
The pattern is delivered electronically, immediately after the payment is confirmed — usually within a few minutes. The download link is sent to your e-mail address and, if you have an account, is also available under “My account”.
If the message does not arrive, check your spam folder and then contact us — access will be restored.
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.
This right does not apply to digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, implemented in Poland by Article 38(13) of the Consumer Rights Act).
In practice: by placing the order and ticking the relevant consent box, you agree to immediate delivery of the pattern and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the file is made available for download.
7. Complaints
We are liable for the conformity of the digital content with the contract. Send complaints to kasia@sharkotea.com or through the contact form, describing the problem and quoting your order number. We will respond within 14 days.
A complaint may concern, for example: a damaged or incomplete file, inability to download the pattern, or content not matching the shop description.
Refunds are made using the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree to a different one. We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days from accepting the complaint or receiving a withdrawal statement.
Because the patterns are digital content and you consent to their immediate delivery when placing the order, no refund is due on the basis of withdrawal once the file has been made available for download. This does not limit your rights where the digital content does not conform to the contract, described above.
8. Licence and copyright
All patterns are protected by copyright. Your purchase grants a licence for personal use only.
You may not resell, share, publish or otherwise distribute the file in any form, nor translate it or create derivative works without permission.
You may sell individual, handmade items made from this pattern provided you credit the designer (@sharkotea). Mass production and wholesale are not permitted.
9. Personal data
Information about how we process personal data is available in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disputes
Consumers may use out-of-court complaint and redress mechanisms. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Use of these mechanisms is voluntary.
11. Final provisions
Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act. We may amend these Terms; orders placed before an amendment are governed by the version in force at the time of the order.
