Ivy

Ivy is a made to measure crochet dress, recommended for more advanced crocheters. You need to understand how your fabric acts and how your actions affect its shape. You also need to be able to read charts because there is no descriptive crochet language in this pattern – only charts with an extensive explanation of what is happening in them.

The dress has no opening – it will be 100% up to you to make this dress fit your body. You will be able to customise the fit, the neckline, width of the straps, length and width of the skirt. This pattern will guide you through the process of adjusting each part to your body and preferences, rather than present a universal solution. Because each woman is different (even within the same size), universal solution would simply not look as good. This journey might sometimes cause a lot of frogging, however, I hope that the final result will be worth it for you.

Yarn

Type: light fingering (3 ply) or fingering (4 ply) – thicker yarns will not work with this pattern. Try to pick yarn with some stretchiness: viscose, cotton, cotton/acrylic mixes, bamboo were tested and all work.

How much

from 1600m (XS) to 3600m (3XL) – this is just approximate amount. A lot depends on your size, how loosely you crochet, how long you want your dress to be etc.

Crochet hook Main: 3mm, 3.25mm, 3.5mm depending on the yarn you are using . Starting chain hook: 5mm-6mm.
